Bringing Out the Best in Your Pet's Appearance
~ Dogs ~
My experience in grooming many of the different breeds of dogs means I know what it takes to groom your dog to American Kennel Club breed standards, as well as your standards. I also have extensive experience with many varieties of cats, and know what brings out the best in your feline.
I start off by bathing your cat or dog twice. The first shampoo will rid your pet of that nasty dirt and grease from your pet’s skin and coat. The second shampoo will cleanse and condition the animal’s coat. If your pet has dry, flaky skin, I moisturize the skin to treat that problem. If your pet has bad skin, I do have many other products to treat your pets. These are all veterinarian-approved products.
In the tub, I express the anal glands of your pet, unless you would rather that I not. All pets are hand-dried. Some don’t like the hand-dryer, so I may cage-dry them for their comfort. Then I clean and remove any ear hair in your pet’s ears. This I follow with a pedicure and a manicure (wink). I use a Dremel tool to get the nails smooth. I don’t use the Dremel on cats; they do not like the noise. I use the nail clippers on all felines.
I then shave your pet’s pads and sanitary areas. I clean in between the eyes unless told differently by the owners. Now your pet receives his or her haircut or removal of undercoat. The finishing touches are bows or bandanas and a little spritz of cologne (available upon request).
Your pet has just received the finest in pet grooming artistry. If there is anything you would like done differently, just tell me and I will be happy to satisfy your requests. If you are pleased with your pet’s grooming, then I hope you keep coming back and tell friend your friends.

~ Cats ~
The first time I saw someone shave a cat was in a grooming shop in Houston. At that time I had never groomed a cat. As I was watching the groomer, I thought it was an horrible experience. The cat was all chopped up and his hair was uneven, with blade marks all over the cat and cut in the skin; it was really up setting to me.
So I asked, does that always happen and the groomer replied yes. That has been my experience in most of the grooming shops. So I never wanted to groom cats until I met this woman, Miss Bea, over at a shop at 19th Avenue and Northern Road. She had bred and shown cats for 30 years.
I don’t need to tell you I watched her and she taught me everything she knew abut grooming a feline. She knew how to do it without cutting the cat, getting the cat smooth with no blade marks. Most groomers have to shave a cat to the skin because they are not skilled in using longer blades, getting the cat clean and grease-free.
Hand stripping the cat of its undercoat, most groomers can't do scissor work on a cat, or know how to handle an irate cat. Some groomers will send a cat home because they can’t handle the animal. Today I really enjoy grooming cats. To be an feline specialist, one most be sure of themself, confident and not easily startled. To bring out the finest in feline grooming artistry is my goal.
